DROP-INS + CLINICS
We will be hosting casual drop-in sessions and clinics throughout the upcoming season (May to August), open to both registered and non-registered players.
Sunday drop-in sessions are back, and we’re happy to be offering them (almost) EVERY SUNDAY this summer, with some special one-day mini tournaments thrown in!
Drop-in sessions will be held at either Adanac Park NW or Clinton Park SW from 6:30 to 8:00 (option to warm up starting at 6:00). The setup will be multiple teams playing shorter, small field games (e.g., 6 v 6) in a round robin style. These sessions are casual, beginner-friendly, and designed as a way to welcome more players into the QVS community. Below you can find more info on the drop-in sessions, including the full summer schedule and important details for playing.

All registered QVS players (on a team, on the waitlist, sub list, and drop-in only) are welcome to come to drop-ins, but we do ask that players who have not paid a season registration fee chip in to help cover the additional permit costs and field maintenance by paying $5 per drop-in session. The $5 payment can be sent via e-transfer to queervansoccer@gmail.com. That being said, we will not turn away players who don’t pay, as we want these sessions to be as accessible as possible.
We’ll send out more info about the mini tournaments in early June, but the general idea is folks can register a team (6 to 8 players) or as a free agent to be placed on a team, and play a series of round robin and bracketed games with prizes for the top teams. Tournament entry will be $8/player, regardless of league status.
